Embed directly with retail insurance agencies to identify broken workflows and deploy governed AI execution using a Terminal platform. Own customer-side AI deployments end-to-end while feeding product signal back to the core team at an early-stage AI startup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed at retail insurance agencies to identify broken workflows and deploy governed AI execution (~25% travel)
- Build and ship production AI integrations across systems, portals, email, and agency workflows independently
- Design review, attribution, and override patterns that make AI trustworthy and auditable in regulated environments
- Act as the conduit between customers and Engineering, Product, and Design teams to translate field reality into platform improvements
- Represent the company in customer settings by scoping problems, troubleshooting live, and reasoning through solutions
1 to 5 years of full-stack or backend software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript
Must be able to independently build, debug, and launch production software
Genuine AI-first mindset and willingness to direct AI agents to complete work
Comfortable troubleshooting and explaining technical trade-offs in front of customers
Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX with willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
