
Seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure the quality and reliability of mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment. This role supports quality initiatives across precision metal enclosures to large-scale industrial modular structures. The position requires strong experience in metal fabrication manufacturing and quality inspection with the ability to identify quality issues, interpret technical drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and internal quality standards
- Conduct audits of metal forming, fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly processes
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, specifications, and quality requirements
- Identify and document material non-conformances during receiving, work-in-process, and final inspections
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Safety teams to improve product designs and manufacturing processes
- Verify products meet applicable regulatory requirements, customer specifications, engineering standards, and company procedures
- Support the inspection equipment calibration program by ensuring tools are properly maintained and calibrated
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of five years of experience in metal fabrication manufacturing and/or quality inspection
Strong understanding of materials used in metal component and structural fabrication
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
