About the role

We are looking for a Principal Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer with 6+ years of experience to lead the design of next-generation computing chips. This early-stage AI hardware company is developing advanced semiconductor solutions for AI acceleration and edge computing. You will join a ~30-person team that recently taped out its third chip and is now defining the architecture for three upcoming chips. This is a ground-floor opportunity to own major pieces of chip design at a company building differentiated compute hardware.

What will you be doing?
Leading the design of analog and mixed-signal blocks (ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, high-speed serializers/deserializers, oscillators, and dividers) for upcoming chip tape-outs
Owning large chunks of chip architecture and potentially serving as design lead for one of three planned chips
Performing hands-on layout work as well as design verification (DRC, ERC, LVS) in a startup environment where everyone gets their hands dirty
Collaborating across IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate advanced computing concepts into silicon implementations
Contributing to lab testing and validation of fabricated chips using signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes

This is a hybrid Direct Hire role based in Boston, MA.

Requirements

- 6-20 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design, including PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes
- Designed mixed-signal blocks (PLLs, SerDes, ADCs, oscillators), not purely analog
- Multiple tape-outs completed, ideally in FinFET or 28nm/65nm nodes
- CMOS analog and mixed-signal circuit design expertise
- Cadence simulation proficiency (PEX, Monte-Carlo, corners)
- Hands-on layout experience, not just review
- Willing to do unglamorous work outside core specialty at a startup
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on circuits/IC design
- Industry experience from companies like ADI, Apple, or Silicon Labs preferred
