About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with 3-7 years of experience to own the bring-up, debug, and integration of next-generation mixed-signal boards for an advanced sensing and imaging platform. You will join a team of passionate engineers building cutting-edge security screening technology. This is a hands-on role where you will punch above your weight, making engineering decisions typically reserved for far more senior engineers. You will work directly with systems leadership and cross-functional teams spanning FPGA, firmware, AI, and mechanical assembly. If you are curious, broad, and not afraid to get your hands dirty across multiple domains, this is your opportunity to make a real impact on public safety.

What will you be doing?
Leading board-level bring-up, power sequencing validation, and subsystem integration across multiple board designs
Debugging and performing root cause analysis on signal integrity, power, and RF performance issues, then driving fast design iterations to resolve them
Collaborating with an external design firm to update schematics and review layouts, managing the full cycle from new rev fabrication through characterization and validation
Working cross-functionally with FPGA, firmware, and systems engineers to validate integration at the subsystem and system level
Building out traceability and test procedures to support the company's push toward higher unit production volume

Requirements

- 3-7 years of experience in mixed-signal hardware bring-up, debug, and board-level integration (open to less for high-potential candidates)
- Mixed-signal design: ADCs/DACs, DC/DC converters, RF interfaces
- Hardware bring-up and debug of complex PCBAs (power sequencing, signal integrity, mixed-signal validation)
- PCB CAD tools experience (Altium preferred), schematic review
- Experience with FPGAs is a plus (e.g., Petalinux, SOM bring-up)
- Experience in telecom, radar, or complex sensing systems preferred
- Prior startup or fast-paced environment preferred
- Independently identifies and solves problems without being told
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
- Must work on-site 5 days/week in Santa Clara, CA
- Must be US person (citizen or green card)
