As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will own critical system scaling, service architecture, performance optimization, and the technical foundation for AI capabilities. This is a hands-on role focused on architecting and implementing high-throughput solutions for institutional financial clients.
- Track record of building and scaling backend systems, including work across databases, infrastructure, and integrations
- Deep experience with relational databases at scale (PostgreSQL)
- 6-10 years of experience as a backend engineer
- Experience at a high-growth tech company and familiarity with startup ownership
- Production AWS experience (architecting, deploying, and operating systems)
- Experience with Java/Spring Boot or comparable backend frameworks
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform)
- Willingness to work long hours and respond outside standard business windows when needed
