We are seeking an R&D Attorney to sit at the intersection of law and product, embedded directly with engineering teams to shape the future of legal technology. You will serve as the primary legal voice and product partner, translating complex legal workflows into high-quality features for in-house legal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering squads to co-develop new features and products throughout the build cycle
- Design and execute rigorous evaluations to benchmark AI output quality against high legal standards
- Translate complex in-house legal workflows and customer feedback into clear product requirements
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to implement fixes, improvements, and new capabilities
- Train internal sales and solutions teams on new features to ensure confident customer representation
- Partner with engineers to define and refine product requirements and acceptance criteria
Licensed attorney with 5+ years of experience
Experience in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal experience
Substantive expertise in at least one area of law (e.g., fintech, corporate, privacy, or compliance)
Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion
Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools to improve legal workflows
Willingness to learn and utilize technical tools to build and ship product improvements
