We are looking for a Founding Product Engineer with 3+ years of experience to become the first product-minded engineer at a fast-scaling enterprise AI security startup and own how the AI security platform looks, feels, and delivers value to some of the world's largest enterprises. You have shipped product at fast-moving, high-quality Silicon Valley companies, and you combine sharp product intuition with real comfort in front of customers. No one on the team is focused on product or the customer mindset yet, so you will have genuine ownership over the experience while a strong technical team helps you iterate quickly. With enterprise pilots growing faster than engineering capacity, this is a chance to shape the control plane for enterprise AI agents from day one.
What will you be doing?
Leading a revamp of the application's UI and core flows so every feature is intuitive for security and IT teams.
Spending about 70% of your time building product, mainly on the frontend, across surfaces like agent and model inventory, policies, investigations, and usage reporting.
Spending about 30% of your time with customers during pilots and deployments, teaching them to use the product and get real value from it.
Turning customer feedback into clear product decisions and shipping improvements quickly.
Setting the product and design bar for a small team that is growing fast.
- Strong product intuition and a fast-moving mindset; engineers from FAANG or big tech may struggle with the speed required here
- Strong examples include product engineers from companies like Ramp, Figma, and similar high-quality Silicon Valley companies
- Comfortable with frequent customer interaction
- Roughly 70% of time building product and 30% working with customers during pilots (teaching customers how to use the product and get value, not an FDE or solutions architect role)
- First six months focus on revamping application UI and flows; work is mainly frontend across the stack
- 2 to 5 years of experience shipping real software at top-tier organizations, with product engineering experience at fast-moving Silicon Valley companies
- Security or identity experience is not required; tech stack is flexible
- Product engineer (or engineer on a product team) whose profile names user-facing features they shipped, not only backend, infra, platform, or test work
- 3-10 years as a product engineer at reputable, high-growth startups (e.g. Wiz, Ramp, Snyk, Stripe, Figma, Linear)
- Product design shows on the profile: designed screens or flows, design-engineer or product-design title, portfolio, or led a UI redesign
- Product engineering at a venture-backed, product-led software company known for shipping fast
- Recent work mainly frontend/UI on a web product (any framework is fine)
- Strong product intuition when speaking with customers
- Top skills: React, TypeScript
