An industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer. The ideal person knows manufacturing procurement, understands the importance of strong supplier partnerships, and can confidently navigate complex purchasing and sourcing decisions.
This is more than placing purchase orders. The role is about building relationships, negotiating strategically, managing supply and inventory, and making decisions that directly support manufacturing operations.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
They want someone who brings experience, fresh ideas, and a strong understanding of manufacturing procurement.
- 3 to 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Experience sourcing raw and semi-manufactured steel
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Background in manufacturing, inventory control, and MRP
- ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Takes initiative, thinks strategically, and enjoys solving problems
Competitive compensation package with salary range of $85,000 to $95,000 depending on qualifications.
