Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-volume payment processing systems and secure financial APIs
- Build deep integrations with major ERP systems
- Create LLM-powered workflows for credit decisions, remittance matching, and automated communications
- Design real-time data pipelines handling millions of financial records
- Implement AR and collections automation to improve customer cash flow
- Collaborate through pair programming and contribute to end-to-end system delivery
4+ years of experience as a backend engineer or backend-leaning full-stack engineer
Experience with MVC frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Django, or Java Spring
Advanced experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL
Familiarity with REST APIs and ETL processes
Proven track record shipping production systems and user-facing features end-to-end in the last 1-2 years
Background in high-growth, VC-backed startups
Preferred:
Experience in fintech, payments, or billing systems
Shipped production-level agentic AI features with eval systems, A/B tests, or multi-arm bandits
Actively uses AI tooling in day-to-day workflows
Worked at companies with high iteration speed on new products
