About the role

Join a high-growth biotech engineering team as a Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer to build foundational systems that accelerate drug discovery and improve human health globally. This top-priority role focuses on scaling core products to meet surging enterprise demand from leading pharma and biotech researchers. You will own features end-to-end, shipping code quickly in fast-moving sprints and influencing the technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build new product features and systems from scratch across frontend and backend to expand platform capabilities for world-class researchers
- Design, build, and own scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines powering the application, identity, data storage, and ML layers
- Work within fast-moving sprint cycles to ship code quickly and contribute to production within your first few weeks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, designers, and AI scientists to translate complex scientific workflows into intuitive, high-performance software
- Own features end-to-end from early development through production deployment, iteration, and scale to deliver real value to researchers
- Ship production systems used by real customers at leading organizations

Requirements

4+ years of experience in professional full-stack or backend engineering, not including internships
Experience building products at early-stage or high-growth startups, preferably as a founder or early employee
Strong proficiency in modern frameworks like Python and React
Experience building backend services and REST APIs
Experience designing and working with scalable systems, databases, and data-intensive applications
BS in Computer Science, STEM, or related technical field

Preferred:
Experience with Django, GraphQL, and cloud infrastructure like AWS
Background in bioinformatics or biochemistry with transition to software development
Startup experience or background in product-focused companies
Track record of building systems rather than maintaining them
Comfortable with ambiguity in a dynamic, collaborative environment
